I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix " P) o3 U' j+ Y1 ]7 F, P/ R2 R& k) ]4 Y% c3 M& l! B4 C! {
